Business quick guides

Use these introductory checklists to prepare questions and records. They are not official training, legal advice, or compliance certification.

Bookkeeping basics

  1. Keep business and personal money records separate. Record each sale and expense with its date, amount, and supporting receipt.
  2. Reconcile your records with cash and payment statements regularly. Check unpaid customer balances and amounts owed to suppliers.
  3. Use your business workspace to record sales and expenses. Confirm tax reporting and filing requirements with the relevant agency or a qualified adviser.

Wholesale pricing and minimum quantities

  1. List the material, labor, packaging, and overhead costs for each product. Compare the planned selling price with the total unit cost.
  2. Choose a minimum order quantity you can fulfill. Offer volume discounts only after checking the margin at each quantity.
  3. Before publishing, review your listed price, minimum order quantity, available stock, and lead time. Buyers should confirm custom terms through a quotation.

Prepare for business registration

  1. Collect your business name, owner details, address, business activity, and any existing registration records.
  2. Ask the relevant registration agency and your local government which documents, permits, and current requirements apply to your business.
  3. Keep copies of submitted documents and renewal dates. GawangPinas marketplace approval is an internal review and does not replace government registration.

Prepare packaging and product information

  1. Record the product unit, quantity per pack, package dimensions, weight, and handling instructions.
  2. Use clear product photos and descriptions. Check that the listing quantity and price refer to the same unit.
  3. Confirm labeling, barcode, food safety, and shipping requirements with the buyer and relevant agencies before accepting an order. This checklist does not certify compliance.

Review purchase orders and commercial terms

  1. Confirm the product specification, quantity, unit price, total, lead time, and delivery address with the other party.
  2. Agree on payment instructions, delivery responsibility, and how shortages or damaged goods will be handled before fulfilling the order.
  3. Keep the quotation, order confirmation, payment evidence, and messages together. GawangPinas records order information; it does not process payments or hold escrow funds.

Prepare for larger buyers

  1. Compare the proposed order quantity and deadline with your available stock, materials, equipment, and production capacity.
  2. Prepare a current product list and clear pricing, minimum quantities, lead times, and contact details.
  3. Start with an order you can reliably fulfill. Confirm each institutional buyer’s current eligibility and procurement requirements directly before applying.
